Recreational fisher

You fish in fresh and salt water, from the shore and on the water. You use hand reels, rods, nets, snorkels, spears and other fishing gear. Your gear and actions can spread pests and diseases.

Good biosecurity is about awareness and action. Know how to identify signs of pests and diseases. Keep your gear clean. Report anything unusual.

You can help protect the waterways you enjoy. Reduce the risk that they will be harmed by pests or diseases.
